Ashley Laković

Industrial design and fine arts training, a long career in global product design, and a studio practice that stays close to materials—clay, paint, fiber, and form.

Ashley is an industrial design and fine arts graduate of Emily Carr University. Her education spans Vancouver, Paris, and Newcastle, and her work has moved between product design and studio practice ever since.

Professionally, she has designed for major fashion and outerwear brands including Columbia, The North Face, and Burton, and spent thirteen years at Nike. At Nike she served as Design Director for global bags, led licensed design work across the Kids category and Nike Swim, and helped shape product lines tied to athletes including Serena Williams and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Outside of commercial work, she keeps an active studio practice in painting, ceramics, and fiber. She also designs spaces—homes and interiors—with the same attention to proportion, detail, and utility that shows up in her objects.

She splits her time between Portland and Manzanita. She’s available for select commissions and is preparing to offer small releases and sets through Manzanita galleries and local markets.

If you’d like to discuss a commission—custom ceramic sets, acquiring existing work, portraits (people or pets), or architectural / spatial design—reach out with a short note and timeline.
